In 2016, I spent a lot of time at the Garage. This old punctured and rusty air suspension part taken out of the Flat-Bed Towing was laying around and I could only see a seat on the Garage floor.
I took it back to my workshop, cleaned it, sealed the puncture in the rubber, waxed it and upholstered it with scraps of foam and salvaged faux-leather from a recent materials dumpster dive. A fresh coat of white paint on the branding completed the look. This seat, foot-rest, buttocks-trampoline, stress-relief, ottoman-ish piece, has been in my home for years now. It's confort as an extra seat around the living-room sparked many debates amongst guests, but it never ceases to be an entertaining piece of furniture. |
